Rod has been a partner for over 20 years. He has special interests in older persons’ health, skin cancer recognition, and minor surgery.

Rod qualified from Glasgow University in 1986, and first worked in NZ in 1989 before moving here permanently in 1992.

He has postgraduate qualifications in obstetrics and gynaecology, and is a member of both British and NZ Colleges of General Practice. He has completed the certificate of dermoscopy from the skin cancer college of Australia.

His wife Margaret is from Christchurch, and they have three boys who share their love of the outdoors. Rod is a keen mountaineer, skier and biker. He climbed Mount Everest in 1994.
